Concours d'Elegance of America: What's for sale from Europe?

Okay, so if any of you are still out there reading this blog, you might be wondering ... where did the ol' Patio Boat go?

What can I say? It's been a busy month on a few fronts, and as I've had opportunity to work on the blog, I've been trying to sort out this enormous pile of Concours d'Elegance photos, where I'd taken on the task of sorting out and identifying the photos I took of the prewar cars.  What I had initially thought would be one post on prewar cars grew far too big.

So it's time to break this out into more easily digested chunks.  Let's start today, with a little sales display of completely new, modern European luxury cars that we came across. They make a great styling comparison with the oldsters, and it's always fun to decide which one you'd buy after winning the lottery.

A big Bentley.

A smaller, convertible Bentley.

Maserati Quattroporte. This thing looks fast just standing there on the lawn on a rainy day.

And finally, a brand new Rolls-Royce.  Why, yes, I do see myself in this car.

As do we all!

  1. Have I ever shown you the logo from the company I use to work for... Red Rock? I should... as I now see how much it resembles that Rolls-Royce logo.
